Camaraderie's purpose is Saving Lives-Saving Families of the brave men and women who sacrifice so much for our freedom. We offer case management, counseling and support services to alleviate the stress associated with military service and transitions from the battlefield back into society. Support services include information and referral, family fun activities, and transition and employment assistance. Since 2009, we have served 10,000+ individuals directly, many who were at critical status and needed immediate intervention to prevent devastating outcomes. The invisible wounds of war are many and run deep. With each day, more military families are coping with the mounting burden of troubling mental health challenges and, in worst-case scenarios, suicidal ideations/actions. Veterans are committing suicide at around 22 daily; one American hero every 65 minutes. Family members are also wounded, experiencing anger, alcoholism, anxiety, secondary PTSD, and suicidal feelings. These painful wounds are devastating to military families who experience twice the number of divorces, increased family violence, and risk of homelessness, child neglect, and poor communication. Safeguarding the mental health of our military men and women and their loved ones is an important part of honoring those who have served our nation and ensuring the future readiness of our armed forces. This grant will help expand overall agency capacity to serve more military families and help save lives. Our 2024 strategy includes additional counseling sessions for families, increased marketing and communications,
