THE BEEF JERKY OUTLET TO OPEN AT WATERFORD LAKES TOWN CENTER THIS NOVEMBER
ORLANDO, Fla. (October 2, 2015) – Waterford Lakes Town Center, Orlando’s largest open-air shopping, dining and entertainment destination, will welcome The Beef Jerky Outlet to its diverse mix of retail and dining options. The Beef Jerky Outlet is expected to open mid-November.
The Beef Jerky Outlet is the world’s first national beef jerky franchise. The company has six founder-owned stores, 40 franchise stores, and in the next 18 months, will see more than 100 locations open across the U.S. The Beef Jerky Outlet specializes in more than 200 jerky varieties and sizes including kangaroo, alligator, venison and elk with exotic flavors ranging from Moonshine to Cajun. The dried, smoked meat has traditionally been the #1 favorite snack of the military and, for years, NASA has sent jerky up to the astronauts in space.
According to IRI, a Chicago-based market research firm, sales of beef jerky jumped 46 percent from 2009 to 2014 catapulting it to a $1.24 billion industry as gourmands throughout the country continue to discover the exotic tastes and benefits of cured, dried meat snacks.
Teri Corbett, owner of The Beef Jerky Outlet, and her husband, Frank Murru, are no strangers to the jerky business. Both are wellness enthusiasts and credit the tasty snack with helping to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The Beef Jerky Outlet will join the recently announced Social House and Zaza New Cuban Diner this fall at Waterford Lakes Town Center. The popular lifestyle center also welcomed Marlow's Tavern, offering classic American fare, chef-driven food and handcrafted cocktails in a rich, warm and inviting atmosphere, and Little Greek Restaurant, a fast-casual eatery emphasizing fresh Greek dishes including grilled chicken and healthy salads created from generations of traditional family recipes, this summer.
