Partnership Aims to Advance Innovation Through True Tech-to-Tech Solutions, Boosting High-Tech Business Growth in Central Florida

12-October-2017 – Orlando, FL – The East Orlando Chamber of Commerce (EOCC) and NineSigma, the leading innovation partner to companies worldwide, today announced a partnership to help create more high-tech jobs and bolster economic growth in the Orlando area.

The two organizations will launch the East Orlando Technology Council & Innovation Forum Monday, Oct. 30. The mission of the Technology Council & Innovation Forum will be to facilitate true tech-to-tech collaboration and solutions, allowing member businesses to succeed and grow thereby attracting more high tech companies to the Orlando market.

“The East Orlando Chamber of Commerce identified an unmet need in the market for high-tech companies to collaborate and solve real technical issues in a secure tech-to-tech setting,” said Andrew Cole, East Orlando Chamber of Commerce executive director. “Our partnership with NineSigma allows us to provide value, resources and industry expertise to implement the Technology Council & Innovation Forum and offer tangible results to its members.”

Companies that participate in the Technology Council & Innovation Forum will have access to NineSigma’s services at a reduced cost. These services include: assistance with needs statements; proactive outreach to solution providers, local and globally; and matchmaking with experts. NineSigma’s worldwide solution provider network features more than two million of these scientific and technical stars, including Nobel Prize winners.

Helping regions increase their competitiveness through tech-to-tech innovation is a NineSigma specialty. NineSigma has launched successful technology forums for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the State of Ohio, and the Tri-States of North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

“We’re excited to partner with the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce to bring this proven model to a new region. Its benefits will extend far beyond the limits of the project. Companies that work with us learn repeatable processes that deliver long-term business value,” said Andy Zynga, CEO of NineSigma.

Membership in the East Orlando Technology Council & Innovation Forum will be exclusive and limited to qualified technology companies. To be considered qualified, a company must derive more than 50 percent of gross revenue, as certified by the company’s chief financial officer, from research, development, manufacture or distribution of products that use or embody technology, and from technology services directly relating to technology business.

“The mission of this tech council is to be the local catalyst in East Orlando – helping solve problems, developing partnerships and delivering quantifiable results,” said Cole. “Our focus is tech-to-tech action, not fluff.”
