Nemours Children’s Primary Care expands in Lake Nona to meet community needs

(Orlando, FL) – Nemours Children’s Primary Care has completed a project to expand its practice in Lake Nona.  The practice, located at 9145 Narcoossee Road in Orlando, now contains four additional exam rooms, bringing the total to 13, as well as a more spacious waiting area, additional workspace for pediatricians and staff, and a new check out desk for faster visits and a better patient experience.  The additional space makes the location the largest of the 14 Nemours Children’s Primary Care practices in central Florida.  When Dr. Christina Miller joins the practice this summer she will bring the number of pediatricians at the practice to four, the most pediatricians of any individual practice in the network.

“Nemours loves Lake Nona,” said Dr. Thomas Lacy, medical director for Nemours Children’s Primary Care.  “Nemours Children’s Hospital is here, and we have both pediatric primary care and urgent care practices on Narcoossee Road.  As our primary care practice got busier and busier, we made it a priority to expand it to ensure our families continue to have easy access to appointments and an exceptional patient experience.”

The renovations at the practice were timed to be completed before the busy summer back-to-school physical season.  Parents who want to schedule an appointment for their child with a Nemours pediatrician can call the practice at (407) 243-2040 during business hours or use the online scheduling tool anytime, day or night, by visiting Nemours.org/lakenona.
