Minority Media and Telecommunications Council (MMTC)
Wendy's work is primarily focused on communication issues that have the greatest impact on Hispanics and women entrepreneurs. She launched MMTC's new Immigration Reform Initiative to help generate support for immigration reform from the large media, telecom, and broadband companies.
Wendy is the President and CEO of the Multicultural Education Alliance (MEA). She serves on the Hispanic Task Force of Seminole County Public Schools, Cultural Diversity Committee for Girl Scouts, Florida College Access Network, Diversity & Inclusion, Telecommunications & Internet Policy Task Force in D.C., and Chairs the Orange County Advisory Board. She is also a contributing writer for Politic365 and Broadband & Social Justice where she often writes about issues affecting the minority community.
Wendy earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida and Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law. She lives in Orlando with her husband and children.
On the second Fridays of Month, we invite you to join us from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM for Nona’s Cafe con Leche, our newest networking group. This networking group is brought to you by our Lake Nona Area Council which is comprised of members of the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce and the St. Cloud Greater Osceola Chamber of Commerce.
The goal of this group is to bring together business owners and professionals looking to do business in Southeast Orlando. Speakers will be brought in to help provide educational information on a wide range of topics for professional and personal success. The meetings will be conducted in English.
