Event Description:
Book Buddy matches volunteers with children to promote reading, writing, and social skills. Buddies will begin with the 2018-2019 school year and you can sign up now to be a Book Buddy for our inaugural first year.
•Get paired with a 4-year-old child in a VPK classroom in Orange County and receive letters from that child 3x in a school year.
•Purchase a book for the child and respond to their letter.
(ELCOC coordinates correspondence).
•Agree to purchase 3 book in a school year.
•Book Buddy can be an individual, civic group or business.
