Topic: UCF Restores: Coping with Stress After Tragic Events
Dr. Neer joined the faculty of UCF as Research Assistant Professor in 2011, in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral program. She is Co-PI for the Trauma Management Therapy Program, a clinical research program funded by the Department of Defense Military Operations Medical Research Program, for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.
Dr. Neer received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Louisiana State University in 1990. She completed her internship and post-doctoral work at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, University of Pittsburgh. She has been a member of the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh as well as the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Neer has published a number of scholarly journal articles and book chapters. Her clinical research interests have included anxiety disorders, eating disorders and psychophysiological measurement. Dr. Neer is a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida. She supervises graduate students in individual and group behavior therapy for veterans, first-responders, and a variety of anxiety disorders.
