The Kiwanis Clubs of Avalon Park and Lake Nona announces their inaugural "Chips Helping Children" Casino Night at 5 p.m. on June 7 at Village Walk in Lake Nona. The casino night will give party-goers the chance to use fun money to play a variety of Las Vegas style games, including black jack, craps, roulette and three card poker, as well as, various prizes, appetizers and a cash bar.
This event gives all attendees the opportunity to enjoy an evening filled with the lights and excitement of Las Vegas while supporting a great cause in their own backyard! "We're excited to put on this great event," said April Carpenter, President of Avalon Park Kiwanis Club. "We have a lot of wonderful prizes including a vacation, gift baskets and gift cards." Doors open at 7 p.m. and games end at 11 p.m. General Admission is $50 through event brite online purchase, and can also be purchased at the door for $65. The event is open to all members of the community, however guests must be at least 21 years or older to attend. "Our goal is to hopefully raise $5,000 at the Chips Helping Children event," said Carpenter. "It's a great opportunity to have fun and socialize while also giving back to the kids in our community. 100% of the monies raised at this event will go directly to fund our local public school service programs and projects, as well as, our annual college scholarship contest.
