Jon V. Weiss
Director with Orange County CEDS Department
Jon V. Weiss joined Orange County in March of 2011 after almost six years with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 5, where his latest position was Government Operations Manager. He is now the Director of the Orange County Community, Environmental and Development Services Department, responsible for approximately 700 professionals and technical staff where he directs and manages the operations by planning, regulatory, and community programs to ensure these activities are coordinated across the different divisions for the County.
Mr. Weiss has that unique mix of technical expertise and policy and management skills in which he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Rollins College and Masters Degree in Transportation Engineering from Purdue University.
Mr. Weiss is recognized statewide as an expert in transportation policy and systems planning and local Growth Management.
Mr. Weiss is a Central Florida native, married with two young children, enjoys spending time with his family and boating.
Our signature luncheons are held on the third Wednesday of each month except where noted on our calendar. Our luncheons provide fantastic networking opportunities with fellow members and visitors, a keynote speaker or panel discussion and a delicious meal. Before the luncheon, we conduct our New Member Orientation to allow new members, old members and soon-to-be members the opportunity to meet each other, our Board members, Ambassadors and discover ways to get involved in our growing organization.
