Orlando’s travel industry has been on a remarkable roll since bouncing back from the recession. Visitation is setting records and hotel occupancy rates have been rising since 2010, all despite a somewhat weak economic recovery and lingering high unemployment.
So what does 2014 hold for the economy and Orlando’s tourism industry?
What does 2014 hold for international travel from our key markets?
Join us as we discuss the economic and travel outlook with an emphasis on identifying the opportunities as well as risks associated with the outlook for 2014. Daryl Cronk, Sr. Director of Market Research & Insights for Visit Orlando, will review the outlook for the national economy before focusing on Central Florida's tourism industry and the latest travel forecasts. Scott Johnson, President, Travel Market Insights, will share his insights on international travel with a particular focus on key origin markets including the United Kingdom, Brazil and Canada. A question and answer period with the audience will follow the speakers.
